When You Don’t Feel Like Showing Up

When You Don’t Feel Like Showing Up

Dear you,

While on your journey to becoming your best self, you’ll have some bad days, even worst days . . . but you must look past them and look forward.

You’ll experience ups and downs. In fact, at times, it might feel as though, each fall took you ten steps backward . . . in spite of this, you must find the strength to keep going.

You’ll make mistakes, very painful mistakes . . . but you must forgive yourself.

On some days, you won’t make sense to yourself, let alone the next person . . . still, do not give up.

Sometimes, you’ll feel like that late bloomer who was left behind . . . take heart, at least you’re blooming, some didn’t get to bloom at all.

Your work will not always make sense to you. At times, you will doubt your expertise, you will doubt your influence, in fact, you may even question your why . . .

But whenever those times come (because they will surely come), remember that you are doing well.

Life will not always be fair to you.

The gbas-gbos you get may sometimes leave you feeling empty . . . like a fraud.

But understand that your journey is normal.

Your scars are uniquely beautiful, and they won’t look like anyone else’s.

Your experiences are for you to learn and grow into your best self.

Very importantly, have it at the fore of your mind that for you to evolve into your best self, you must first grow past your pain and mistakes, and stretch forward, as many times as is necessary.

So, whatever you do, do not quit.

Never stop showing up!

Go back to the drawing board as often as necessary.

And do not be afraid or ashamed to tweak, rebrand, or even discontinue a poor strategy.

Keep stretching, keep pushing forward and upward, keep breaking those mental, emotional, and psychological barriers . . .

Very importantly, know that you are making sense and that there is at least one person out there whose life will be transformed because you showed up.

You are doing well!

Keep Showing Up!
